The luggage tags have been laminated, the journals assembled and the living room floor is starting to look like an assembly line with wipes, playing cards, journals, pens, and a few sweet treats to keep kids moving. It is the first red-eye flight I have done with students since 2003, and I truly hope they follow my strong suggestion to REST on the plane. It can make for a tough first 24 hours if students try and pull an all-nighter. Lucky me - I can sleep any time, anywhere!
