The picture of the electronics says it all! For the past 11 days the children have been without and done great. As we went door to door this evening for room check they were giddy - reaching their hands into the bag to retrieve their items. One forgot what her's looked like - and another didn't remember what she had brought.
Those who can, will surely want to try texting or checking their Facebook later. However, this will be nearly impossible as I am reluctant to share the hotel's Wi-Fi password. The hope is, of course - that they have learned to live without their electronics - even if only for a very short time.
On a final note, any remaining spending money is being returned to the kids on the bus in the morning in route to the airport. We have held back $20 for each one so as to buy both lunch and dinner at the different airports. Passports will be returned to students at the gate upon landing in Seattle.
