In two hours we visited the different government buildings, national theatre, post office (all marble) and the public market. Students quickly got a sense of the World Cup fever that is sweeping the country. All but 2 purchased soccer jerseys and we walked until we wore them out. Back at the hotel now some are napping while others are sleeping.
So far they are all upbeat, observant, fun and in a minor state of culture shock in all that we experienced in downtown. Tomorrow brings a 6:30 breakfast and departure for the Caribbean. Stay tuned for more adventures!

I'm so excited for the kids and this experience. I have been trying to explain to Olivia what a big deal it is that Costa Rica advanced to the next round. I will be rooting for them against Greece!
